Outline: Our client is tasked with providing sustainable development programmes that employ the local populace, build skilled human capital and promote the future stability of Afghanistan. A major part of their work includes reconstruction and infrastructure development efforts in often hostile environments.
As part of this major reconstruction initiative, GLOBAL has combined a broad range of intelligence and operational support services and defence technologies to facilitate the rebuilding and development of critical infrastructure in Afghanistan on behalf of our client. To address the wide range of security threats faced, we have leveraged our Group-wide capabilities to create a centralised National Operations Centre (NOC) to orchestrate activities and optimise our performance on the contract. Employing our combined Group experience, technology and expertise we designed and created the NOC to serve as the focal point for intelligence collection and analysis, information dissemination and asset tracking.
GLOBAL Security Liaison Teams (SLTs) perform multiple activities including the protection of client personnel, the provision of quality assurance services to key reconstruction projects and the administration of emergency medical services to help ensure the health and safety of staff. In addition, GLOBAL provides helicopter and fixed wing air assets to provide our client with versatile capabilities to securely transport personnel and equipment throughout the country.
Outcome: Every GLOBAL team operating as part of the this major security programme provides a unique and expert service, but is in the integration of these services through which we have delivered real value to our client's critical reconstruction and development initiatives throughout Afghanistan.
